The Rock Hill Runway: It Works

Lucinda,

I got a call from an individual that saw PCI on your site.  I did some minor investigative work for him, which required some online searches that can be done for anyone anywhere in the world.

I think you may just be on the verge of breaking out into TN.

Thanks,

Abdalla Straker, A Young man with Powerful words

  Columbia, SC

In one of his famous pieces, he wrote, “Words are not just words. Words have power. They can result in happiness or pain upon impact.” Who is this young man and what is his purpose? His name is Abdalla Straker. He is a Junior Business Economics major at South Carolina State University with a mission to use his gift for words to reach the world. He started writing poetry and song in 1998 and since then has authored two books of poetry and contributed to a joint publication of his university. In 2004, he published his first book titled “Letters To The Lord”, and in 2007 released his second, “Overflow”. “Overflow” was actually dedicated to the lives affected by hurricane Katrina. He cherishes the spring break that he spent there helping in relief efforts. Later in 2007, he contributed to a student publication called “Ink Well”.

He is also the current Poet Laureate at South Carolina State University, News Editor of the college newspaper, The Collegian, and a leader in a number of student organizations at his campus.
